Session on Career Guidance on 11th February, 2020 Career Guidance session on different careers and its related competitive exams was organised by Commerce Club for all students of FY/SY/TY BBI & BMS on 11th February, 2020. The speakers were Mr. Rakesh Jain (Career Guidance Expert) from CARE (Career Development Centre) and Mr Abhishek Sharma (Assistant, CARE). They guided the students regarding various career options available and how to crack their respective entrance exams. Students gave a positive feedback about this session. In all 157 students attended the session |

E-summit’20 on 01st and 02nd February, 2020 E-summit’20 organized by IIT, Bombay was attended by 37 students and two faculty members of our college for two days on 01st and 02nd February, 2020. It comprised of various events, competitions, seminars & workshops. Its main motto was to inculcate entrepreneurship skills in students. Students whole-heartedly participated in all the events. It was an amazing experience for the students and as well as for the faculties. |

"A SESSION ON JOB SEARCH & NISM EXAMS” on 23rd January, 2020.
Commerce Club had arranged a session on Job search for TYBBI /TYBMS/ TYBsc(IT) students. They were guided regarding how to search jobs using a digital application named “buycano”. In this application students get to know the type of questions that comes in competitive exams and also they can appear for mock test for different competitive exams via this app. It’s an informative app which gives all details regarding banking and other competitive exams to the students.

Internship of Big Bazaar Live Project rom 10th August, 2019 to 15th August, 2019
17 (Seventeen) students of our college participated in internship of Big Bazaar Live Project during their Big Days Sale period from 10th August, 2019 to 15th August, 2019. The total working hours comprised of 48 hours training in 06 days which gave them practical exposure to various services provided by big bazaar on daily basis. A session on “MBA & Banking Entrance Exam Guidance” on 17th September, 2019 A session on “MBA & Banking Entrance Exam Guidance” was organised by Commerce club on 17th September, 2019 in Room No. 208 from 8.30 to 9.00 am for TYBBI students. The speaker was Mr. Prasad Kashelkar , Marketing Manager, CPLC. He guided the students regarding the entrance exam pattern, syllabus and schedule and also about the scheme offered by their institute for minority students enrolling in above said MBA course. 32 students had attended the session. |

Guest lecture on “Career in Finance” on 30th August, 2019 Commerce Club of our college had organised a guest lecture on “Career in Finance” on 30th August, 2019. The speakers for the same were Mr. Animesh Choudhary (Academic Manger, IMS Digital Pro School), & Mr Dilip Patiyan (Assistant Manager, IMS Digital Pro School). Students of TYBBI, SYBBI, SYBMS, TYBMS, and SYBcom attended the session. The session comprised of practical aspects of finance and career opportunities in finance field. They also guided the students on MBA Entrance exam. They delivered both theory as well as practical information on the said topics. It was an interactive session. Students gave a very well response for the said event. In all 57 students attended the session. |

Session on Tally/ Adv. Tally/ Excel/ Adv Excel on 09th July, 2019 A orientation session on Tally/ Adv. Tally/ Excel/ Adv Excel was organised by Commerce Club for First year students of all streams on 09th July, 2019. The speaker was Mr. Kishor Parmar (Director) from ICA (Institute of Computer Accountants). He guided the students on the above courses and their relevance in career opportunities. Students gave a positive feedback about this session. In all 134 students attended the session. It will be followed by a three day workshop at their Borivali branch where students will be guided thoroughly about these courses and their relevance in today’s time. |

PAN Card Camp on 01st & 02nd February, 2019 Commerce club had organised PAN Card Camp in College premises on 01st & 02nd February, 2019 in collaboration with TJSB Bank and Karvy Consultancy Ltd. In all 70 (Seventy) students applied for the same. The Pan card will be delivered at the address of the students mentioned in their application forms. A nominal amount of Rs 107/- was charged for the making of Pan Card. It was a well appreciated activity by the students. The motto behind this activity was to encourage more and more students to have their own PAN card as identity proof. |

Bank Visit for FYBBI and SYBBI students on 05th January 2019
Bank Visit was organised by Commerce Club for FYBBI and SYBBI students to TJSB Bank (Thane Janata Sahakari Bank) on 05th January 2019. Students were provided with information related to working of the bank, different types of accounts and various facilities provided by them. Also they covered up topics like tricks for rectifying fake currency notes, cheque and ATM cards and ended up with career guidance and exams related to banks. |

(GTT) was arranged by Commerce Club on 13th & 14th August, 2018 for SY and TY BBI students. The speaker for this workshop was Ms. Vaishali Dholkia (Manager Campus Connect)The aim of this workshop was to inculcate communication skills in the students so as to make the students expertise in facing interviews and giving them the overview of an industry culture. The workshop conducted will be followed by a Visit to Barclays Office (Goregaon) where in the students will be briefed about the actual atmosphere of a corporate office working. It was conducted by Mr. Milind Ashrit, Disha Trust.The speaker made the faculties aware about the ample investment avenues available in the market and their importance in today’s life. Room from 8 am to 11 am in two sessions for all streams.The speakers for the session were Mr. Milind Ashrit, Financial Advisor, Disha Trust, ICICI Academy for Skills & Ms. Aditi Chipkar, Financial Counsellor, Disha Trust, ICICI Academy for Skills. It was a highly interactive and informative session for the students as they got to know about Insurance, Investment, Finance and other related terms and their importance in today’s scenario. Overall 180 students attended the session. |

Room from 9 am to 10 am on the eve of Bank Nationalization Day. The speaker for the session was Mr. Devidas Tuljapurkar, Special Assistant, Bank of Maharashtra. The speaker has 39 years of experience in the field of banking It was a highly interactive and informative session for the students as they got to know about the journey of Banks till present date. Guest Lecture on Career in Insurance September 2017 Commerce Club had organized a lecture on “Career in Insurance” on 12th September, 2017 in room no 204 at 9.00 am. The speaker for the same was Mr. Rahul Shanbagh and Mr. Bhavik Bhatia. The lecture gave an insight to the students regarding the insurance filed, the various policies available, the career options available and its growing future prospects in the coming years. The speakers communicated and interacted with the students to make the session enjoyable for the students. A small movie was also shown to the students to make the session more lively. Overall it was an interactive and informative session for the students. |

Guest Lecture on GST July 2017 Commerce Club has been set up to give the students some inputs regarding the financial aspects of the commerce world. As per the current scenario going in and around the country, the first program organized by the committee in association with Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension (DLLE) was a lecture on GST (Goods & Service Tax). The esteem speaker for the lecture was CA Mr. Ronak Parekh who enlightened the students with the basic knowledge about; what is GST and how it works. The lecture was conducted in AV room on 5th July, 2017. It was a two hours lecture. It was an eye opening lecture for the students which cleared their misconceptions and doubts related to GST. Mr. Dilip Parekh, CA Mr. Bharat Vasani & CA Ms. Khyati Vasani were also present for the said lecture and they all motivated and encouraged students to increase their knowledge towards the financial aspects of our economy. Overall it was an interactive and informative session for the students as well as for the teaching staff. |
