Social Visit-Old Age Home on 21st February 2024.

As part of curriculum of BMS Course the department had planned and organized a visit to old age home at Citizen Welfare Association, Borivali (West) for BMS students. The objective of the visit was to connect the students with the problems of society.
“Old age home is a multi-residence housing facility intended for senior citizen.” We reached their along with all the students of TYBMS on 21st February 2024 at 11:00 am. Firstly, we gathered in the meeting hall where the sister of institution gave introduction about the institution organization and facilities rendered by them. Later on, she gave us the orientation of institution and introduced us to their members. There were 65 elderly man and woman in old age home.
The students of the college interacted beat the elderly followed by an entertainment program with music action songs and dance. The inmates were very happy and blessed everyone. It was a joyous occasion with full of satisfaction that the team could bring some rays of happiness among the elderly. It was a pleasure witnessing of such wonderful work i.e. unconditional services. Visiting an old age home was an eye-opening experience for the students. It gives a glimpse into the lives of the elderly and the challenges they face.

VISIT TO BSE on 08 th August 2023.

The Department of BMS had organized the visit to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) for the students of TY BMS/BAF/BBI on 08 th August 2023. 70 students from all streams along with Asst. Prof . Pooja Barad, Asst. Prof. Anita Sharma and Asst. Prof. Pranjali Mhraphlkar visited BSE. The objective of the visit is to provide the students with an opportunity to visit the oldest and historical place of stock trading and to make the students understand the working of BSE. BSE is Asia’s first & the Fastest Stock Exchange in the world with the speed of 6 micro seconds and one of India’s leading exchange groups.
At the BSE office, experts on financial markets shared their valuable experience with the students. The BSE experts also introduced students to the various certifications provided by the BSE Institute. It was a great learning experience for the students.

2022-23 Activities

A Session on Career in Shipping, Logistics and Freight forwarding on 06th April 2023

A Session on Career in Shipping, Logistics and Freight forwarding was organized on 06th April 2023 in A.V.Room by Indian Institute of Freight Forwarding. The speakers were Mr. Tej Contractor President of IIF, Mr. Nirav Thakkar Secretary of IIF, Mr. Mihir Bhadkamkar-Brihammumbai Customs Brokers, Association Committee (BCBA) Member, Mr. Mansing Uthale-Course Co-ordinator. Highlighted the new career opportunities in the field of logistics and its importance in today’s time.

Social Visit on 06th March 2023

Social Visit was organized on 06th March 2023 at Radhika Old Age Home, Bhayandar (W). During the interactions with the elderly, the college students participated in an entertainment programme that included Music, Action Songs, and Dance. The elderly people were overjoyed and gave everyone their blessings. Donations were given in the form of Medicine, Food grains etc. It was a happy event filled with satisfaction that the team of students and teachers had been able to spread some smiles among the elderly.

“Session on the MBA Entrance Test (CAT) Examination.” on December 6, 2022.

“Session on the MBA Entrance Test (CAT) Examination.” was conducted on December 6, 2022. Yogendra Chavan, the marketing director of Career Launcher, an institution that advises students about various competitive tests and has more than 14 years of experience helping students prepare for various competitive exams. The topic of the session was the value of an MBA in the modern world. The speaker guided students on how to qualify the MBA Examination (CAT). It was very interactive session where in the students asked their doubts about dates, syllabus, and eligibility of the competitive exams. 111 students showed up for the session in total.

“Session on Competitive Exams”. was organized on 24th August 2022.

“Session on Competitive Exams”. was organized on 24th August 2022. The speaker of the same was Mr. Satya Prakash, a Co-Founder of Achievers Mantra as well as Counselor, Speaker and trainer of Quant and Logic for Aptitude Exams. He offered strategies for passing numerous competitive exams. He offered advice on how to apply for various competitive tests, what qualifications were required, etc. In total, 50 students attended the session.

“Grooming session in association with Hindustan Unilever Limited” Mumbai on 25th July 2022

“Grooming session in association with Hindustan Unilever Limited” Mumbai on 25th July 2022. The speaker of the same was Mr.Sunny Kambiri the Brand Manager of Axe, HUL. 392 Students across all streams attended the session. The students were educated across various grooming skills required to carry oneself to move ahead. The session also included a series of educational tips on how to look and feel good which is a combination of physical and mental well-being tips. Students gave a very well response for the said event.

Orientation session, 9th July, 2019

Orientation session was arranged on 9th July, 2019 for F.Y.B.Com, F.Y.B.A, F.Y.B.B.I, F.Y.B.M.S and F.Y.B.Sc (IT) students. Here the students were guided about rules, regulations of University like passing standards, examination pattern, college discipline etc.

SOCIAL VISIT on 08th February, 2019

BMS Department had organised a Social visit for TYBMS & SYBMS students as a part of their academic curriculum. Students were taken to Old Age Home named “Lt. Sakru Laloo Rathod Vrudhashram” in Bhayander (west) on 08th February, 2019.

Students interacted with the senior citizens residing in this old age home. Students came to know about their daily life schedule, how they managed themselves in such place etc. Students also entertained them so as to make them happy.

The purpose of this visit was to inculcate social values in the students and to show them reality of life.

Students had an altogether new experience and they also gained societal values through this visit.

Parents Teachers meeting on 11th August, 2018

Parents Teachers meeting was conducted on 11th August, 2018 at 8.00 a.m. Here the parents were guided about rules, regulations of University like passing standards, examination pattern, college discipline, college activities etc. Various doubts of parents relating to college activities were resolved. The session was highly interactive and beneficial to bridge the communication gap between the teachers and parents.
