Shailendra Education Society’s Arts, Commerce and Science College
Shailendra Education Society’s Arts, Commerce and Science College was established in 1994 with the launch of Commerce faculty. The Arts faculty was started in the year 1996. The college began with the primary objective of providing education to the lower socio-economic strata of the society who are very often the first generation learners.
To increase the employability of the students the college launched self-finance courses from 2004 onwards. Under the self-finance courses BBI, BMS and B.Sc. (IT) courses are offered. The college has been sanctioned Research Centre in the Subject of Business Economics under the faculty of Commerce
The College has undergone NAAC reaccreditation process in November 2011 and has been awarded B grade with CGPA of 2.92.

Shailendra Education Society
Shailendra Education Society was established on 31st March, 1976 by 100+ common working citizen specially government employees in the extreme western suburb of Mumbai for providing quality education under able guidance of Prof. D.G.Samant. It has been registered under the Society Registration Act 1860 vide No.BOM/122/1976/GB/BSD and also under the Public Trust Act 1950 vide No.F3962 Mumbai. Kindergarten class with 40 students in a small residential flat provided by one of the life member was the beginning of intellectual journey. During the span of 40 years of its journey, society has developed an educational complex covering from K.G. class to secondary school in three mediums i.e. Marathi, Gujarati and English, a Junior College of Arts, Commerce & Science, Degree College with Arts, Commerce & Science with five full-fledged courses like B.Com, B.A., B.Com. (Banking & Insurance), B.M.S., B.Sc. (I.T.) which is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The society has a Ph.D. Research Centre under the degree college in the subject of Business Economics of Commerce faculty. It gives an impetus to research scholars in the region. College has also Centre of Distance Education, University of Mumbai for PCP lectures.
The foundation stone of the Shailendra educational complex was laid by the Vice Chancellor of University of Mumbai – late Prof. Shri. Ram Joshi. Society has built up an 48,000 sq. ft. educational complex with 41 well equipped classrooms, ventilated labs, Teacher rooms, 05 air conditioned and Advanced computer labs, Spacious Auditorium, Rifle Shooting range, Gymkhana, Canteen, Public library and a Big playground taken from MHADA on lease for sports activities. Society has also started expanding its activities by purchasing a plot at Kaman village in Vasai for a residential school. The society has also launched a Hi-Tech library in Ashokvan, Dahisar (East), Mumbai.
The society has a separate computer centre ‘SESCOM’ offering various courses affiliated to MKCL. The society aims at imparting quality education and co-educational activities to enable its stakeholders to face the emerging challenges of future. Shailendra Education Society believes in continuous development and growth.
