Research Development Cell 2022-23

College is a Research Centre for two subjects Business Economics and Business Policy Administration under the faculty of Commerce affiliated to University of Mumbai. Till date seven students have completed Ph.D. in the subject of Business Economics under guidance ex-principal our collage, Dr. V.M. Ingavale and three students under the guidance of Dr. Bhavana Trivedi. At present six students are perusing Ph.D. in the subject of Business Policy and Administration one student in the subject of Business Economics. This year three students namely Ms. Ganga Shushil, Ms. Poonam Popat and Mr. Abijeet Mahale have successfully completed PhD. in the subject of Business Economics

The committee always encourages teachers for participation and presentation of research papers. It also supports the teachers for publication of research papers. Many of our teachers had participated and presented papers in National and International Conferences.

Research Advisory Committee

Our College is a Research Centre in the subject of Business Economics under the Commerce faculty affiliated to the University of Mumbai. College had also applied for extension of Business Economics. This year we propose to start Ph.D. in the subject of Commerce under the Commerce faculty. LIC Committee had visited the college and submitted its report to the University. At present four students are pursuing Ph.D. under guidance of Dr. Bhavana Trivedi. Six students had completed Ph.D. from our centre. Dr. Shradhha Shukla had completed and submitted a Minor Research Project to the University of Mumbai in the subject of Commerce. Her research topic was “A comparative study of M-Commerce with special reference to Fashion Industry in Mumbai Suburban Area”. She had also co-authored text books for B.Com (Banking and Insurance) and M.Com Part I and Part II in the subject of Accountancy and Finance.

This year Department of Mathematics and Information Technology had organized One Day Multi-Disciplinary National Seminar on “Symbiotic correlation of Mathematics and Information Technology Pan-Industry” on 20th January 2018. Twenty Seven Research Paper had been published in “Vidyawarta” a UGC Approved Journal No. 62759 with ISSN No. 23199318 and its impact factor is 5.131.

Research Committee 2015-16

College started its Research Centre in the subject of Business Economics under Commerce faculty affiliated to University of Mumbai in the academic year 2011-12 under able guidance of our principal Dr. V.M. Ingavale. At present six students are pursuing Ph.D. from our centre. Asst. Prof. Ms. Bhavika Karkera completed Ph.D. from our centre. Two of our faculty members Asst. Prof. Ms. Shraddha Shukla , and Asst. Prof. Ms. Sheetal Patil registered for Ph.D. from our centre. Dr. Kanchan Dutt is a recognized guide in Commerce from S.N.D.T. University. One student under her guidance completed Ph.D. and another is pursuing it.

Dr. Kanchan Dutt, Dr. Swati Pitale and Dr. Bhavana Trivedi are recognized guide of the University of Mumbai in the subject of Commerce, Political Science and Business Economics respectively. Asst. Prof. Pooja Trivedi is pursuing M.Phil from Hinduja College. College is having its own Research Journal “Reverberation” with ISSN No 2454-1494 in which interdisciplinary quality research papers are published. This year college with collaboration of Centre for Central Eurasian Studies, University of Mumbai had organized Two Day Multi-Disciplinary International Conference on “The Rise of New Russia” on 29th and 30th January 2016.

Committee always encourages teachers for participation and presentation of research papers. It also supports the teachers for publication of research papers. Many of our teachers have participated and presented papers in National and International Conference and published papers in reputed Journals. Research centre has purchased many books and subscribed Journals for Research. The Library has extended research facility for the faculty by providing a separate Research Corner to researchers where they are provided books, journals, internet and computer facilities.
