Shailendra Degree College was started in September, 1994 to cater
to the long-felt need of the student population of Dahisar, after obtaining permission
from the Government of Maharashtra and the University of Mumbai. The College made
a beginning with one division of First year B.Com class for the academic year 1994-95.
The College also started the Arts Faculty in June 1995.
We now have a full fledged Degree college in the Commerce and the Arts Faculty.
The Arts & Commerce faculty is on 100% grant basis and the College has acquired
permanent affiliation status.

our students to interact with a more diverse world, think globally and act locally.
We want to equip them with skills, technology and at the same time not loose sight
of their commitment to the society at large. We hope to build responsible citizens
